School Charter

The Charter is the blue-print for our strategic planning both long-term and annual targets and reporting. The Charter is a way of finding out what we have been doing, how we have been performing and what we plan to do next. Please view our Charter here.

Our values of Success, Teamwork, Attitude, Respect (S.T.A.R) are reflected in the culture of our school. We create an understanding  with students about what Success, Teamwork, Attitude and Respect look, sound and feel like, and how we can make these values part of our lives at school, home and beyond.

Elstow-Waihou is a values driven school. We are aspirational and ambitious for our children – we want them to be the best that they can be. Our vision, Reach for the Stars – Totoro hoki nga whetu articulates this intent. The vision, values and key competencies of (Thinking, Relating to Others, Managing Self, Using text and symbols and Participation) are central considerations when determining our curriculum programme.
